Moore Park Surf Life Saving Club was founded at a meeting on the 9th August 1954 as a memorial to the men and women of the district who had served their country at war.
Upon its foundation, Moore Park SLSC members camped for the weekend to patrol the beach. The first clubhouse was a tent, a rusty shark tower and wind up shark alarm donated from another club and a 10ft fishing boat for rescues and training.
The club’s volunteer members now provide emergency search/rescue and first aid, deliver surf safety and provide preventative programs to ensure beach visitors avoid danger.

Type of Membership and Cost
Become A Member
An individual child who is between 5 and 14 years old.
** Please note that a nipper must have a parent/guardian who is also an active or associate club member.
Membership cost: $80 per year (See Family Membership for families with multiple children)
Board levy: $50 per year (for nippers U11-U15 using club boards)
Nipper cap: $15 per cap
Pink rashie: $20 per rashie
For active families of 2 adults and 2 children.
Memberhip cost: $220 per year.
For families of 2 adults and 3 or more children
Memberhip cost: $250 per year.
Includes:
Cadet – Member 15-18 years with a minimum SRC or Bronze Medallion award.
Active Patrolling – Members over 18 years who hold a minimum SRC or Bronze Medallion award.
Active Award – Member who holds a current certificate/ award within the club
Membership cost: $40 per year
Members who had committed more than 25 hours of beach patrols the previous year.
Membership cost: FREE
A non-patrolling member over 18 years of age.
Membership cost: $60 per year
