70 Years Ago
Founded on 9 August 1954 as a living memorial to the men and women of our district who served their country, Moore Park Surf Life Saving Club began with nothing but a tent, a rusty shark tower, and a 10ft fishing boat. Our earliest members camped out on weekends, fuelled by passion and a commitment to keep beachgoers safe.
From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a dedicated team of volunteers who patrol the beach, respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and deliver vital surf safety education. Today, our mission is more than saving lives—it’s about building a strong, inclusive community where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn, lead, and thrive.

Type of Membership and Cost 2025-2026
Become A Member
An individual child who is between 5 and 13 years old.
** Please note that a nipper must have a parent/guardian who is also an Active Patrol, Active Award or Active Club Member (Nipper Parent).
Membership cost new member: $200 per year – includes welcome pack. (Family membership available for 2 adults and 2 children or more)
Membership cost returning member: $140 per year (See Family Membership for families with multiple children)
Board levy: $0
Nipper cap: $20 per cap
Pink rashie vest: $25 per rashie
Pink rashie long sleeved: $60 per rashie
For active families of 2 adults and 2 children.
Membership cost: $440 per year.
For families of 2 adults and 3 or more children
Membership cost: $510 per year. This is a capped sum.
Includes:
Cadet – Member 13-15 years with a minimum SRC or Bronze Medallion award.
Active Patrolling – Members over 18 years who hold a minimum SRC or Bronze Medallion award.
Membership cost: $90 per year; $0 after completing 25 patrol hours previous season
Members who had committed more than >15 hours of service under their SLSA award: First Aid, Observers, Water Safety, Age Manager
Membership cost: $90
A non-patrolling member over 18 years of age.
Includes:
Silver Salties who are club members
Nipper Parents
Membership cost: $115 per year
Returning Long Service Member Fee: $40
